FRIDAY DAYTIME EVENTS - PETERSON AFB
Our Friday visit to Peterson AFB with luncheon with NORAD/USNORTHCOM CofS MajGen Paul J Sullivan and our visit to the on-base museum. In the evening we went to the Flying W Ranch for a steak dinner and western show.
The Academy football Falcons had breakfast in our hotel and we wished them well on their way to Navy!
We drove onto Peterson AFB and had two guides to give us a windshield tour of the installation. We then went to the Club where we had lunch and an inspiring talk by the NORAD/USNORTHCOM Chief of Staff, MajGen Paul J Sullivan. He stressed their thheme as one of Freedom and Security for the USA.
NOW THE ON-BASE FLIGHT AND SPACE MUSEUM
The former Colorado Springs airport terminal from the 1930s now houses the on-base air park museum.

A real Colorado Spring from inside NORAD's Cheyenne Mountain complex, active until just recently. Now in a standby condition with a 24-hour re-activation time.
