THE MOROCCAN REUNION ASSOCIATION
The Spring Sand Times is in the mail
to be held on Saturday morning right after the General Membership Meeting. It will feature advances in medical care and practice taking advantage of the numerous firms located in the Triangle Industrial Area between Raleigh/Durham. The banquet will feature costume contests as well as a full 12 piece orchestra that will play the music we all love.
Yes, this is your first chance to let us know you will be coming to Raleigh. There has been a lot of interest in this reunion — more than we can remember in the past. Go directly to the Registration Form
if you can’t wait to see the nice prices we were able to negotiate for you. What we call “the all embracing plan” for $250.00/person includes all registration fees, meals, travel and entertainment for a $15.00 saving per person over individually priced items. You need to know what we have on the menu for Saturday’s banquet in order to complete the form. Here’s the description of the meat, fish and chicken dishes we have selected:
London Broil-marinated and served with mushroom compote complete with chef's selection of starch and fresh seasonal vegetables.
Grilled Tilapia-topped with a lemon butter sauce served with rice and fresh seasonal vegetables.
Because the following information is needed to assist you in making hotel arrangements and since there have been some important changes we are repeating the lead article in the last Sand Times. We have our hotel booked for September 9—13, 2009. It is the Hilton North Raleigh, 3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609-7330. Make your reservations as soon as possible. The cutoff date for our room rate of $109.00 (plus tax) will expire on August 20, 2009. (If you want to be in the free room night drawing you must make your reservation before COB Aug 20, 2009). You may call the hotel directly at 919-872-2323 Make sure you mention MRA in order to get this $109.00 (plus tax–currently 12.5%) rate, (or call Hilton Central Reservations at 1-800-HILTONS—mention code MRA). Advise the hotel if you have special requirements. This rate is good three days before September 9th and three days after September 13th for those who wish to take advantage of a fine hotel with great amenities. All rooms have been recently renovated, are exceptionally large, include large modern flat screen TVs and are 100% smoke free. Our beneficial room rate includes a full buffet breakfast Thursday through Sunday, full use of their heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi and exercise room, and complementary transportation between the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and the hotel. Driving in: There’s a very large parking lot right in front and it’s free. Your MRA President stayed there in September and he found it very acceptable for our purposes.
